Anyone that knows Astra of old, will know our heritage of being a specialist ceiling fan distributor (Fans Direct) for many years.
We have always had a keen interest in fans, and therefore have plenty of indepth knowledge on motors, controls, droprod installation etc. If you have any problems choosing or specifying the correct fan for domestic or commercial use, we are always happy to help.
Whats new for 2014?Fantasia Ceiling Fans - Most Fantasia fans are sourced in Taiwan where the emphasis is on consistent, reliable quality rather than pricepoint.
This year see's the launch of the Tau 50" model, which is available in
Silver or
White and comes complete with 4 blades in the pack. You can then choose wether you fit the fan with 2, 3 or 4 blades dependant upon your personal preferance. Really funky and ultra modern... The Tau ceiling fan is also extremely green, it uses DC motor technology delivering 60% energy saving compared with a standard motor. It also comes with LED light incorporated, giving you approximately 80w of light output for only 10w power consumption.
The very popular Zeta range is now available with Silver blades, these can be chosen as a free of charge exchange to any of the body colours (White/Brushed Nickel/Matt Black), we think it best suits the Brushed Nickel body as shown below but the choice is yours!
The Delta range has now been extended with the option of a Brushed Nickel body with white blades and Aries light combination (115380) see pic below, also all Deltas available with LED lamps as an extra.
In addition to the existing Delta range, Delta RD has been launched with rounded blades rather than square, available with Maple or Dark Oak blades and a choice of no light, Single Aries light or 3 spotlight kit versions.
The Omega CS fan has been added to the existing Omega range, with the CS standing for 'Coffin Shaped' :-) How else could you describe the shape of the blade? Dont let this put you off its a nice fan with a good strong motor.
It is available in 44" or 52" with Brushed Nickel body, and a choice of White or Dark Oak blades. An optional light kit is available (see pic below ) and the light can be purchased with LED lamps if required.
The evergreen Viper Plus has also seen its range extended this year with the option of Dark Oak blades now available on the Stainless Steel and Antique brass models. (see pic below for AB model). All the Viper Plus range is now available with LED lamps as an optional extra, the lamps provide approximately 80w of light output from a miserly 10w power consumption.
